St. Patrick’s Day 2012
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk will be the hotspot for Myrtle Beach St. Patrick's Day 2012 festivities. The city has a full day of activities planned, including live concerts and the Boardwalk merchants plenty of Irish themed food. It all happens on Saturday, March 17, starting at noon. Admission to the all the fun and festivities is free. Ocean Boulevard will be closed off from the old Myrtle Beach Pavilion site to 10th Avenue North. A Ride on the Myrtle Beach Skywheel
What a perfect day! On a warm and sunny fall afternoon, 2 Myrtle Beach locals and 4 out of town visitors decided to take ride on the new Myrtle Beach Skywheel ferris wheel. After purchasing tickets, the group waited in line approximately 5 to 6 minutes as the group ahead of us completed their Skywheel ride. When the previous group finished up their ride, gondola #13 stopped at our waiting platform and the six of us boarded. Skywheel attendants, were very courteous and offered to take a picture of all 6 of us in the gondola. Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest 2011
The 2011 edition of the Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest will be held this Saturday, October 8th, from Noon until 11pm. It's all happening adjacent to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk between 8th Avenue North and Mr. Joe White Avenue (10th Ave. North). An 11pm fireworks show will close this years festival. Admission to the festival is FREE. The stars of the show will be lots of authentic German beer, food, and wine. If you're in the mood for music, how about free music concerts all day long! These free concerts feature a variety of musical groups that will have you tapping your feet and swingin' to the rhythm!
