The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is the 2013 Escape to the Southeast Travel Attraction of the Year Shining Example winner! The Shining Example Awards recognize outstanding contributions in tourism in the 12 southeastern states.
The award which is presented by the Southeast Tourism Society, is given to destinations where the work of those in the travel and tourism industry sets an example that others in the industry can follow.
The 1.2 mile Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade runs from 2nd Avenue North to 14th Avenue North and was completed in May 2010. The boardwalk has attracted millions of visitors to stroll, relax and enjoy beautiful Atlantic Ocean views.
